Attorney Douglas Mena

Experience
For the last eleven years Doug has primarily focused on litigating personal injury cases with a specialization in catastrophic events and injuries. He began his career defending corporate clients in the 2005 BP explosion in Texas City. Since then, he has been an integral part of the trial teams for several multi-million dollar cases ranging from downhole casing failures and blowouts in the Eagleford Shale to a disastrous crane collapse in Houston, Texas.
In 2016, after becoming the youngest partner in a national trial firm, Doug knew it was time to take the skills he had learned and the experience he had harnessed to help those who could not help themselves against the large corporations that he used to defend. He has continued to try cases and hone his skills in the courtroom because that is the only way to hold companies accountable for taking advantage of and harming the people and the communities they are supposed to serve. Doug believes the 7th Amendment, which allows trial by jury, is one of the most important tenets given to us by our founding fathers because it allows all people, not just the richest or the largest corporations, to have a voice.
