Truvada HIV Drug Lawsuit
Gilead Sciences’ HIV medication Truvada contains tenofovir (TDF), a drug linked to serious side effects such as kidney failure, tooth decay, osteoporosis, broken bones. A Truvada HIV drug lawsuit states that the company which made Truvada – Gilead – knew or should have known the drug raises the risk of these serious side effects. We are investigating lawsuits on behalf of people who took one or another of Gilead’s TDF drugs — Truvada, Viread, Atripla, Complera, Stribild — and then suffered kidney disease and/or bone density loss.

TDF Lawsuit Claims Gilead Delayed Safer HIV Drugs
In May 2018, Gilead was sued by HIV-infected patients who accused the drug-maker of delaying development of a less-toxic version of TDF in order to maximize profits on Truvada.
Plaintiffs lawyers suing Gilead claim the company failed to warn patients about potential side effects, although Gilead knew as early as 2001 that TDF was highly toxic in the doses prescribed and risked permanent and possibly fatal damage to the kidneys and bones.
Truvada Class Action Lawsuit
Two California men filed a class action lawsuit against Gilead in 2018. According to the Los Angeles Times, the men suffered bone and kidney damage after taking Truvada. That class action seeks compensation for everyone in California who took Truvada and similar drugs and then developed side effects such as kidney failure and bone fractures.
Truvada HIV Drug Lawsuits
Several more lawsuits have been filed against Gilead Sciences by people who took Truvada or other HIV medications and were subsequently diagnosed with broken bones, dental problems, osteoporosis, kidney failure, and other serious side effects.
Filing a TDF Lawsuit
Lawsuits against Gilead accuses the company of intentionally selling Truvada and other medications with TDF, which the company knew or should have known, has been linked with serious side effects. Gilead also stands accused of failing to warn patients about the known health risks of Truvada and TDF.
Lawsuits can potentially help people who were injured by Truvada and other TDF medications. Truvada lawsuits seek financial compensation for Truvada injuries that led to pain and suffering, medical expenses, lost income, disability, and other problems.
